CID Says Info Needed for Peachtree Intersection Improvement

The project could cost upwards of $10 million but would bring relief to tangled intersection of Peachtree, Roswell and Paces Ferry.

is taking another look at improving the tangled and often discussed intersection of Peachtree, Roswell and Paces Ferry.

Public input on any potential fixes will be delayed, but CID members say it won’t be long before they have proposals ready to review, according to the Buckhead Reporter.

Buckhead CID Executive Director Jim Durrett said the CID board postponed the scheduled May 17 public meeting while it waits for information from a consultant. The CID has worked with consultant Kimley-Horn and Associates on the project and recently hired Parsons Brinckerhoff to develop a transportation model for the entire CID area.

Brian McHugh, director of transportation and planning for the CID, said the rescheduled public meeting could happen in late June or July.

Improvements costs could range from $1 million to $10 million.
