Dante's Down the Hatch will close its doors for good on July 30.

It's finally official. Dante's Down the Hatch will close its doors on July 30.

The iconic restaurant will be replaced with a 10-story high-rise of 288 apartment units, just some of the thousands being built in the next few years in Buckhead.

Atlantic Realty Partners, Inc., which sits directly in front of the restaurant on Peachtree Road, formed a joint venture with Behringer Harvard, a real estate company out of suburban Dallas, TX, according to a report from the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The companies acquired the 2.2-acre site for $8.8 million, according to ABC, and Buckhead-based Rafael Garcia will design the tower.
