Georgia Chamber CEO to Address BBA

Chris Clark to speak Thursday at Buckhead Business Association's weekly breakfast meeting

Chris Clark, president and CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, will speak to the Buckhead Business Association Thursday morning as part of its monthlong series, "The New Economy: What We Have Turned the Corner on and What Still Lies Ahead."

“Chris Clark comes to us with a wealth of knowledge surrounding the state of business in Georgia, and we are eager to hear about the specific initiatives that the Georgia Chamber has undertaken to help drive business to the state,” said BBA President Catherine Cattles in a statement. “As we look for positive economic indicators in Georgia, we are honored to host such a key influencer in the future of commercial development in Georgia."

Clark will speak at the BBA's weekly breakfast meeting, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. each Thursday at the City Club of Buckhead. Tickets are $10 for BBA members and $20 for visitors and guests. A native of Fitzgerald, Ga., Clark earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University and received his master’s in public administration from Georgia College and State University.

Clark served previously as commissioner of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and executive director of the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority. He also was as deputy commissioner for global commerce at the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
