Has Buckhead's STG Trattoria Shuttered its Doors?

Chef Sean Telo makes a social media post over the weekend indicating that "ownership has decided to sell."

Only having recently arrived on the Atlanta restaurant scene, a Buckhead favorite for traditional Italian cooking has possibly served its last meal.

Early Saturday evening, STG Trattoria chef Sean Telo posted an update on his personal Facebook page that read:

“Three days ago I was given notice that tonight would be STG’s last night of service. The ownership has decided to sell.”

As the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Sunday, Telo also added, “I’m taking a long vacation.”

Known for its thin-crust Neapolitan-style pizzas, the restaurant opened in April 2012 next to the St. Regis Hotel at 102 West Paces Ferry Road.

Buckhead Patch was unable to reach anyone at STG for comment on Sunday night and the restaurant’s website and Facebook page gave no indication that it has closed.
