Invest Atlanta Plans $1.5M Grant for PulteGroup's Relocation

The nation's largest homebuilder announced plans to move to Buckhead in May 2013.

Six months ago PulteGroup announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters from a Detroit suburb to Buckhead. On Thursday Invest Atlanta will consider a $1.5 million grant the company will use to defray the cost associated with relocation expenses, engineering and architectural fees, as well as facility improvements. Completion of construction is expected in June 2014.

PulteGroup plans to create 310 jobs at its new headquarters in 100,000 square feet of class "A" office space at One Capital City Plaza. 3350 Peachtree Rd. N.E., Atlanta.

Invest Atlanta Welcomes PulteGroup to Buckhead

The average salary for those positions is $86,000. The company is making what it defined as a $10 million capital investment in the relocation.

Invest Atlanta, the Atlanta Development Authority, plans to award the $1.5 million Regional Economic Business Assistance (REBA) grant to the national homebuilder. the REBA program is a specialized economic development tool that is used to enhance Georgia’s competitiveness in attracting significant economic development projects and as a vehicle for significant local, regional or state-wide initiatives that will have either short- or long-term economic development benefits. According to Invest Atlanta's resolution, eligible applicants for REBA funding are general-purpose local governments, local-government authorities, regional development centers, state agencies and state authorities.
