Restaurants to offer fare during afternoon

Lenox Square is bringing new flavors to its Fourth of July celebration this year: tasty food and drinks from local restaurants.

From 2 until 6 pm. on Monday, July 4, , Morelli’s Ice Cream, , , Red Brick Brewery and others will serve dishes and beverages. The $10 ticket, benefiting Atlanta Union Mission, grants guests access and samples from many of Atlanta’s top restaurants, according to a Lenox Square announcement.

Attendees are invited to bring chairs and blankets to the Taste of the Fourth area, where they will have prime seating for the mall's fireworks display and performances from Party on the Moon, returning from last year, and A1A, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band.

Lenox Square shops and restaurants will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., with a carnival beginning at 10 a.m. and the music at 6 p.m. The fireworks will begin at about 9:40 p.m. The mall is at 3393 Peachtree Road.
