UPDATE: Nava's Last Day of Business Aug. 10

Those wanting to dine at Nava one more time before it closes take note. Tomorrow's News Today is reporting that Nava's last day of business will be August 10, three weeks before the expiration of the restaurant's lease.

According to the report, the Nava restaurant located in Philips Arena operated in partnership with Chicago-based Levy Restaurants will remain open into the foreseeable future, meaning some Buckhead Nava menu items will live on.

Long standing Buckhead restaurant Nava will likely close in August, with another restaurant opening as soon as January of next year.

Buckhead View is reporting that Chef Ford Fry confirmed he has already signed a lease and has a design completed for a new restaurant concept for the space currently occupied by Nava, which is part of the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group.

As of Tuesday, an official statement on the closing had not been made by the company.

Located in the heart of Buckhead, Nava opened in 1996 and offers a "Southwestern experience" with a flavorful, Latin influenced menu. The restaurant is at 3060 Peachtree Road, in the Buckhead Plaza office building on the corner of Peachtree and West Paces Ferry roads.

Fry told Buckhead View that his new restaurant will feature a Colonial America motif and early American open oven cooking. The entire space at Nava will be gutted and redesigned for the new, as yet unnamed restaurant.
