Peachtree Bikes Makes Plans for March Opening of New Buckhead Location

A fire on Dec. 4, 2013 destroyed the historic building that housed the long-time business in the middle of the holiday shopping season.

Peachtree Bikes plans to reopen in a new Buckhead location in March, just a few months after a fire destroyed its building, inventory and memorabilia.

The fire struck the Peachtree Road business on the evening of Dec. 4, 2013, and damaged other businesses as well.

Peachtree Bikes shared a link with news of its planned reopening on its Facebook page, and said, "We are bustin' tail to get our Buckhead location back up by early spring! If you love Peachtree Bikes, keep your fingers crossed for smooth sailing!"

The business posted a photo of the new location with a "Peachtree Bikes Coming Soon" sign less than a month after the fire.

What Now Atlanta's John Bowen reported that the business owners secured the new location in Buckhead at 2905 Peachtree Road, not too far from its last building. This new location is across the street from the Publix Super Market at The Peach, in the former Brookhaven Buckhead Flowers shop. It is next door to a Walgreens drug store.
