Shake Shack Plans to Spend Almost $1M in Buckhead

The burger chain is expected to open by mid summer.

Shake Shack has applied for a building permit at its planned Buckhead location on Peachtree Road, as first reported by What Now Atlanta.

The company will spend $900,000 on the restaurant's building, according to permit information filed on Dec. 31.

NYC restaurateur Danny Meyer and Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) announced in August. 2013 that the new Shake Shack® location will open in mid 2014 in Atlanta.

The roadside-style burger eatery will open at 3035 Peachtree Road, near the road's intersection with Buckhead Ave NE. Approximately 70 workers will be employed at the new location.

Born in New York City’s Madison Square Park in 2004, Shake Shack is a modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers, delicious flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, craft beer and wine, and more.

Fast Company's Miles Kohrman just reported on Jan. 7 that Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti is changing the burger chain's fries, switching from frozen to fresh.
