Waffle House CEO Accused of 'Pattern of Sexual Harassment'

The Waffle House CEO and Buckhead resident is currently facing accusations of sexual harassment in a civil suit he filed against his former house manager.

The house manager of Waffle House CEO and Buckhead resident Joe Rogers Jr. has accused Rogers of 100 incidents of sexual harrassment during her time working for him.

The former assistant said, in recently unsealed proceedings, that other women had been victims of Rogers' alleged "predatory sexual actions," according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The assistant's attorney David Cohen said Rogers exhibited a "pattern of sexual harassment and abuse," which could be a huge factor in the assistant's case if it goes to trial.

Rogers' attorneys are requesting information about the alleged additional victims.

Rogers first filed a suit against the woman in September, claiming that she was trying to extort money from him with threats of releasing sex tapes she had made of the two together.

The woman filed a suit of her own, denying Rogers' claim, and accusing him of sexual harassment.

Cohen said his client's letter to Rogers was a customary demand letter, not an attempt to extort money as Rogers' claims.

The details of the two cases were sealed until Wednesday.

This is not the first time the Waffle House CEO has faced allegations of sexual harassment from a former employee.

In 1998, a U.S. District court judge in Texas deemed that Rogers had known about wrongful conduct of top executives or had condoned it.

The court later awarded $8.1 to a former Waffle House recruiter. The ruling was later vacated and Cohen said it was due to an agreement of a settlement, not an overturning of the court's decision.
