Yum Yum Dessert Co. Comes to Buckhead Friday

Yum Yum Dessert Co., formerly Yum Yum Cupcake & More, is opening a storefront in the Powers Ferry Square complex on Roswell Road in Buckhead, just across from The IVY Buckhead. The shop is slated to open on Friday, April 11. This space is the first brick and mortar store for Yum Yum Dessert Co.

Owner Nadia DeMessa, one of the first advocates of dessert trucks in Atlanta's Food Truck movement, is whipping up more than just cupcakes for her new location. In addition to her tried and true sweet staple, Yum Yum will boast a tasty array of homemade macarons, sundaes, pastries, ice cream sandwiches and espresso drinks.

“Yum Yum has been very fortunate to build on the success of our trucks thanks to the support of our loyal customers,” said DeMessa in a press release. “I look forward to providing a permanent and convenient location to purchase our fresh, homemade desserts and Buckhead was the perfect fit for our first storefront.”

Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. on Fri., April 11. Grand opening activities will follow for the next week and include dessert samplings, sweet takeaways and live music. Complimentary mini cupcakes will be provided to the first 100 customers.

The new storefront will house over 500 square feet of space including a full-service dessert and espresso counter, indoor and outdoor seating and complimentary Wi-Fi

Yum Yum is excited to be an active member of the Buckhead community. The company has made a significant investment in the market and the new store is bringing several jobs to the area, all of which are being filled locally. Yum Yum will continue to operate its three food trucks, which are also available for private event bookings.

Founded in 2005, Yum Yum Cupcake & More was Atlanta's first licensed dessert truck. Today, Yum Yum's caravan includes a fleet of three food trucks and a new storefront in Buckhead, Georgia. With a full industrial kitchen in Decatur, GA, Yum Yum has recently expanded its operation to include extensive catering services.
