Four promoted at Private Bank of Buckhead

Welma Baer, Yeisa Calderon, Ivan Giron and Renee Hinkson recognized for impact on bank’s success

Private Bank of Buckhead continues its growth and expansion with the promotion of four individuals, noting that they each have been invaluable to the organization, which includes Private Bank of Decatur and Private Mortgage Solutions.

Welma Baer and Ivan Giron have been promoted to Assistant Vice Presidents; Yeisa Calderon has been promoted to Senior Deposit Operations Specialist; and Renee Hinkson has been promoted to Senior Vice President. The bank’s Deposit Operations function will now report to Hinkson, along with her existing Accounting and IT responsibilities.

“I am happy to announce these well-deserved promotions,” says Terry Freeman, Chief Financial Officer & COO of the bank. “Each of these associates has had a direct impact on our success not only through the work they do but also by the professional way in which they perform their jobs. That’s central to our value proposition and to the extraordinary level of service our clients have come to expect.”

Welma Baer, is Deposit Operations Manager/AVP at Private Bank of Buckhead, and holds the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) designation from NACHA (the Electronic Payments Association, formerly the National Automated Clearing House Association). “Welma continues to go the extra mile to ensure she is expert at her job, and that all goes smoothly behind the scenes for the people we serve,” Freeman says.

Yeisa Calderon, who was promoted from Operations Assistant, has been in banking 9 years, previously working for another community bank, as well as a larger one. “It’s a testament to the strength of the bank that we continue to build our team from within with solid talent like Yeisa,” Freeman says.

Ivan Giron, now the Assistant Vice President of Loan Operations, joined the bank in 2008, and previously served with other community banks in the Atlanta area. In 2009 he was the recipient of the bank’s first Chairman’s award, recognizing his above-and-beyond contributions. “Ivan continues to excel at any task we have requested of him, and does so not only with the high-touch service approach that exemplifies our bank, but also with an energetic can-do spirit,” says Eileen Howell, Executive Vice President and the bank’s Chief Risk Officer.

Renee Hinkson was promoted to Controller in 2010, and also serves as the bank’s Information Security Officer. She joined the bank during its start-up phase and previously served as Accounting Manager and Banking Officer. “Renee has continued to help build the strong risk-management foundation of the bank, and that benefits our clients and shareholders day in and day out,” Freeman says.

The bank’s President, CEO & Chairman, Charlie Crawford, adds, “ultimately, what has continued to set us apart is first-class banking and financial services delivered by highly experienced professionals like Welma, Yeisa, Ivan and Renee. We’re proud to recognize their individual contributions to our strong team approach, and I am proud to work with them every day.”

Private Bank of Buckhead brings a private banking approach to all clients across all functions of the bank. The bank – which celebrated its Seventh Anniversary December 11 – is designated a Preferred Lender by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and includes a recently relaunched and expanded mortgage unit, Private Mortgage Solutions, as well as a Decatur location, known as Private Bank of Decatur. Private Bank of Buckhead, including its mortgage unit, is located in Piedmont Center (Building Three).
