Private Bank of Buckhead's new mortgage division adds COO

Lia Webster is mortgage veteran who ensures operation runs smoothly

Private Mortgage Solutions, a division of Private Bank of Buckhead, has named Lia Webster Chief Operating Officer and Vice President. She has been in the mortgage industry since 1991, and brings a vast array of experience to the organization.

“Lia’s expertise includes mortgage operations, affordable housing and management,” says Dan Smith, President of Private Mortgage Solutions. “Plus, many of us here have worked with her before, so we know she can help things run smoothly behind the scenes, which translates to a better mortgage experience for our clients.”

After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in English and Education, Webster moved to Atlanta where she began her career in the mortgage industry. Prior to joining Private Mortgage Solutions, she held various positions with increasing responsibilities at Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, Regions Mortgage, Plaza Home Mortgage and Precision Processing. 

“One of my former managers taught me that great leaders should be brilliant, funny, fair, efficient and exceptionally kind,” she says. “We truly believe our associates are our greatest assets.”

Webster lives in Suwanee and is the proud mother of two sons and has a 125-pound Staffordshire Terrier. Both sons are academically and athletically gifted. Her eldest is a linebacker for Appalachian State University and her youngest plays football, basketball and lacrosse. Webster sits on the Revenue Committee for the Partnership Against Domestic Violence and is an avid supporter of Open Hand Atlanta.
