TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® HOSTS GRAND OPENING EVENT TO CELEBRATE NEWEST FRANCHISE IN DOWNTOWN ATLANTA

Atlanta, Ga., Sept. 19, 2013 – TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, North America’s largest franchised moving company, is hosting a grand opening event in Downtown Atlanta on Tuesday, September 24 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. to celebrate its newest franchise and continued growth across Georgia.

Owned and operated by Buckhead residents, Erin and Randy Whitty, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Downtown Atlanta officially opened its doors at 1017 Collier Road, NW in May during the height of the moving season. With the opening of the Downtown Atlanta location, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® now operates seven franchises in the Atlanta area and 15 throughout Georgia.

“We expected to hold our grand opening celebration earlier, but from our first day of business we have been going non-stop with residential and commercial moves, which is a wonderful reason for the delayed celebration,” Erin said. “Like our sister franchises across Atlanta, we look forward to becoming an integral part of the community we are privileged to serve.”  

The grand opening celebration, featuring a welcome message from TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® President Randy Shacka and a ribbon cutting ceremony, will include light appetizers and cocktails. Attendees are encouraged to bring a canned or non-perishable food item in support of the moving franchise’s Movers for Meals food drive for donation to the Buckhead Christian Ministry Food Pantry this coming holiday season. 

Prior to opening the Downtown Atlanta franchise with her husband, Erin served in a variety of roles, including sales manager, general manager, and multi-unit franchise manager to the moving company’s other Atlanta-area locations. The newest TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® location opened with six trucks and 25 employees. In addition to offering high quality moving services, the franchise provides customers with a variety of boxes and various packing materials.
