A large tree fell on an apartment complex located at Terrace Drive, near the intersection of Peachtree Street and Lindbergh Drive, on Tuesday night displacing 4 Buckhead families.
According to the fire department who were first to respond, high winds are to blame for toppling the tree. A number of trees fell on Monday and Tuesday due to the combination of rain and high winds, including a tree that fell on a home in the Virginia-Highland area.
The 4 displaced residents of the Buckhead apartment complex, were still unable to enter their homes on Wednesday morning, reports WSB-TV. According to the WSB website, "the property management company said they are hoping to find out more about repairs Wednesday morning."
No injuries have been reported from this incident. The weather outlook shows no more significant rain nor wind in the immediate forecast.
