South Fork Conservancy Initiative Meetings

Peachtree creek suffers from rapid rises in storm water, caused in part by roofs and pavement taking away the land's ability to absorb water. The South Fork of Peachtree Creek was once a thriving habitat that was used by native Indians for trade and travel. Today, the stream is far less usable or accessible. The banks are covered by invasive plants. The creek suffers from erosion and run-off contamination.  The South Fork Initiative involves restoring this unique watershed.
