Adrean Joins Hundreds On Beltline/Northside 5K

Atlanta City Councilmember Yolanda Adrean, who represents much of Buckhead, delivered the opening remarks at the Atlanta Beltline Northside 5K this past weekend.

The 5K race followed a course along the Atlanta BeltLine Northside Trail through Tanyard Creek, Howard and Ardmore Parks and along streets in the Collier Hills, Collier Hills North and Ardmore Park neighborhoods.

The event also included a friendly competition between the city's police and fire departments.

The event included a field day challenge after the race. Developed by the Atlanta Community Tool Bank and JFitness Body Solutions, the Field Day Challenge included such activities as Frisbee tossing, dizzy shoe sprints, and sack races, as well as team challenges such as rolling tires and wheelbarrow races.
