Buckhead's Farm Burger will sell market-inspired sliders, with a portion of the profits going toward the farmers' market fund-raising effort begun with the recent mash-up cooking event. The Halloween costume parade begins at 11 a.m.
The market is raising money to help pay for 2012 city permit fees and a city-required police officer so that vendor fees don't have to be increased.
The raised $5,877 toward a goal of $6,000, the market said in a news release. More than 2,000 people attended, the farmers market said.
