Buckhead's MoSaiC to Close, Likely Replaced by Apartments

The Buckhead restaurant MoSaiC will soon close its doors after nine years, reports Creative Loafing.

The restaurant known for its Mediterranean mixed fare, brunches and pet-friendly patio is located at 3097 Maple Drive NE.

CL reports that the upcoming closure is the result of a two-year landlord dispute where no resolutions to buy or sell the property could be reached.

It was opened in March 2004 by Atmane Amir, who then closed it temporarily for a few months and when it reopened, it made Atlanta magazine's Top 10 restaurants for 2005, according to a 2005 press release.

The restaurant's current owner, Jody Dean, spent $20,000 on the restaurant's dining room renovations after being reassured that the restaurant would remain open, according to CL.

An "insider" tells CL that Broadstone Apartments will replace the restaurant.
