Coyotes Attack, Kill Cat in Buckhead

A pack of coyotes was seen on a surveillance camera attacking a pet cat in the Buckhead area.

Here's some scary video from MyFoxAtlanta over the weekend showing a pack of coyotes attacking and killing a pet cat in the Loring Heights neighborhood.

It's just part of a bigger problem with coyotes in Georgia--there are at least 3,000 coyote sightings a year in Atlanta alone. They can be hunted year-round, though, and 200 people so far have been called upon to try to curtail the problem.

What do you think about the coyote problem in the area? Do you have any tips for preventing coyote-related problems or advice to share about them? Is your neighborhood doing something about coyotes? Tell us in the comments.
