Summer Buckhead Food Truck Tuesdays Off to Good Start

Originally posted Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 12:16 p.m.

Livable Buckhead, in partnership with Buckhead Place, officially kicked off its summer Buckhead Food Truck Tuesdays series. The event offers pedestrian-friendly, fun lunch options for those working, shopping or just visiting the Buckhead area.

"We're basically trying to create a sense of community... It's amazing to be able to have that and just have those choices," said Livable Buckhead Executive Director Denise Starling.

Starling said the event offers an abundance of choices– from the actual menu items offered by the three different food trucks to the option to grab delicious food on one's lunch hour without having to drive.

For example, about a dozen employees from the Atlanta Tech Village nearby hopped on their scooters to get to the Food Truck Tuesday event for lunch. Others grabbed their coworkers and walked from their Buckhead office buildings to enjoy the fresh air and variety of meal options.

A source tells Buckhead Patch that another food truck may join the weekly lineup, and it will offer a menu sure to please Cajun food lovers.

Coro Realty provided the space in the parking lot of the L.A. Fitness adjacent to the "disco" Kroger on Piedmont Road, where the event will take place each Tuesday throughout the summer from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
