Peachtree Road Farmers Market Opens April 9

Bring your own noisemaker for opening ceremony

One of Buckhead's most welcome spring events will arrive April 9 when the Peachtree Road Farmers' Market opens for a new season.

The market at the , 2744 Peachtree Road, features more than 65 vendors with fruits, vegetables, eggs, organic meats, baked goods, cheese, yogurt, Savannah shrimp and other products. 

An opening bell will herald the start of the market's fifth season, and patrons are invited in join in with their own bell, kazoo or noisemaker. To begin a weekly series of chef demonstrations, Ron Eyester of Rosebud will show  how to cook the best of what is in season, according to an announcement.

The market will remain open through Dec. 17. The hours are 8:30 a.m.-noon through September, and 9 a.m.-noon afterward.
