Garbage pickup changes Monday
City goes to quadrant system, with Buckhead in northeast, northwest
The city of Atlanta next week goes to a quadrant-based garbage and recycling pickup schedule.
h, the northwest quadrant, including Buckhead areas, will have regular pickups on Thursdays. Northeast areas, which include parts of Buckhead, will have pickups on Mondays. Weekly collection of household garbage, recycling and yard trimmings will be on the same day.
Northwest boundaries are the city limts to the north and west, Northside Drive to the east and I-20 west to the south. The Northeast boundaries are the city limits to the north and east, Decatur Street/DeKalb Avenue to to the south and Northside Drive to the west.
