Senate Commends Buckhead Coalition For Grant

The organization recently awarded a grant for the community's first gas station to offer compressed natural gas.

State Sen. Doug Stoner (D-Smyrna) recently presented a Georgia state senate Resolution to President Sam Massell. The commendation was in response to the coalition’s initiative of a proposed $10,000 grant to the first Buckhead gas station to also offer compressed natural gas (CNG).

Stoner is a member of the Senate’s Regulated Industries and Utilities Committee and other related industry forums.

In addition, the Atlanta Gas Light company has initiated a state-wide CNG infrastructure Program which will provide $11.7-million from the Universal Service Fund to assist in the development of CNG stations.
