The Week Ahead in Buckhead

You can take a parenting seminar, learn about the Latino immigrant community, discuss the high school dropout problem, ask questions about careers in real estate and lace up for a 5K run/walk.

1. Parenting class. The Atlanta Speech School kicks off a six-session course titled Parenting the Love and Logic Way. Starts at 9 a.m. Monday at the school at 3160 Northside Pky NW. $50.

2. Understanding the Latino Immigrant Community. This free seminar is offered at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at North Atlanta High School, 2875 Northside Drive NW.

3. The dropout problem. Public Broadcasting Atlanta, in collaboration with the American Graduate: Let's Make it Happen initiative, will hold a panel discussion at 6 p.m. Thursday at 3099 Panther Trail SW. Free.

4. Real estate career seminar. Starts at noon Friday at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage-Buckhead at 3650 Habersham Road. Free.

5. Run for it! The Dental Dash at Dawn, a 5K Run/Walk to benefit the developmentally disabled, starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at 680 Dallas St. NE, Atlanta. $25.
