The Week Ahead in Buckhead

You can enjoy toddler time at the Atlanta History Center, take a "Taste of Buckhead," sign up for a free hearing and speech screening, party to help the Galloway School and hear the Georgia Chamber Players perform.

Here are five things to know about the week ahead in Buckhead. For a full list of things to do, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Magic Mondays. The Atlanta History Center offers this monthly program for toddlers and preschoolers. It starts at 10 a.m. Monday at the history center at 130 W Paces Ferry Rd NW. $6.50.

2. 'A Taste of Buckhead Business Expo.' Enjoy delicious food and meet other businesspeople starting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel & Conference Center at 3405 Lenox Road NE. $20.

3. Free hearing and speech screenings for children. As part of Better Hearing and Speech Month, the Atlanta Speech School at 3160 Northside Parkway NW is offering free screenings starting at 8 a.m. Saturday. You need to make an appointment.

4. Elliott's Evening. The Galloway School is throwing a party to support of the  Elliott Galloway Scholarship Fund, the school’s financial aid program. Includes an auction, food and cocktails and dancing. Starts at 6 p.m. Saturday at Mason Murer Fine Art at 199 Armour Drive NE. $125.

5. Sunday strings. The Georgian Chamber Players will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 3003 Howell Mill Road NW. $10 ticket includes a post-concert reception.
