Veterans Remembrance Day Sunday at Atlanta History Center

Vintage military equipment to be shown

The is observing the Memorial Day weekend with Veterans Remembrance Day from noon-5 p.m. Sunday.

Veterans of World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and today's conflicts will share stories about their service and show memorabilia. Living history interpreters representing different branches of the U.S. armed forces will discuss battles and strategy of various wars through displays of authentic uniforms, weapons and equipment, including vintage World War II Jeeps, according to the History Center website.

Philippa Anderson, Deborah Grace, and Mary Slider of the group Vintage Vocals will perform music from World War I on. The group has traveled overseas to perform with the USO.

Visitors with military ID will be admitted free. The History Center as a Blue Star Museum offers free admission to active duty military personnel and their families between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
