Weekender: Show House Tour, Mommy and Me Tea and More Buckhead Happenings

See what's going on around town, this weekend.

 

  • Decorator’s Show House and Garden at Tuffeau. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Decorators' Show House & Gardens is a nationally recognized event which features the Southeast’s finest interior and landscape designers. Tuffeau is a French-inspired home nestled within a West Paces Ferry neighborhood. Designers showcase their talents by taking on a different room or area within the estate and transforming it into a dazzling piece of artistry. 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. [last entry], Friday-Saturday; noon-4:30 p.m.[last entry], Sunday. $25. The event runs through May 12. 3495 Old Plantation Road., NW.
  • Live Musc, Stand-up Comedy. Jerry Farber’s Side Door features “Buckhead After Hours” at 11:30 p.m., Friday. 
  • Multi-Family Yard Sale. The big sale includes custom window treatments, professionally framed prints/artwork, designer home furnishings, kids toys, antique iron bed, small armoire and more. 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday on 3086 Rhodenhaven Drive.
  • Recycling Event. Bring your old electronics, styrofoam, paper for shredding, and latex paint, to be recycled at Keep Atlanta Beautiful's Buckhead Recycling Center. 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday at Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church.
  •  Mommy and Me Princess Tea. A high tea, catered by Masterpiece Events, will be served at the historic Rhodes Hall for moms (grandmothers or dads too) and their little girls--ideally ages 3-9.  Ten of your favorite princesses including Belle, Ariel, and Cinderella will be performing and posing for pictures. Reservations are required and tickets are $50 per person.  2 p.m. Sunday.
