Bastille Day at Huff Harrington Fine Art
Huff Harrington Fine Art celebrates France at its annual Bastille Day exhibit with an opening reception Thursday, July 17 from 6-8 p.m. The show will run through Saturday, August 2. Paintings from the gallery’s French artists will hang side-by-side with work by American painters inspired by the French joie d’esprit. As only the French can do, it’s a perfect mix of styles – abstract, representational and impressionist with subjects varying from landscape, still life and floral.
Huff Harrington is proud to showcase work from a number of accomplished French painters, including the romantically abstract and haunting paintings of Pascal Bouterin, exquisitely painted marine scenes from Christian Nepo and luminous gems from Fanch Lel and Lyliane Coiffard. American artists Nancy Franke and Lesley Powell, both accomplished artists inspired by the bucolic villages and lively cosmopolitan cities in France.
Guests will enjoy light bites, plenty of red and white (French, of course!) and French-inspired music from a live accordion player.
