19th Annual Nicholas Bowden and Friends Christmas Concert

One of the holiday season’s most beloved musical offerings will occur on Sunday, December 16th, with the presentation of the 19th Annual Nicholas Bowden and Friends Christmas Concert. Starting at 6:00pm, Peachtree Presbyterian Church’s Main Sanctuary will be filled with the melodic spirit of the season. As in past years, Mr. Bowden, the church’s principal organist, will amass an exquisite collection of some of Atlanta’s most prolific soloists, musicians – many of whom are members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra - and over 100 choral singers performing many of the season’s most inspiring and cherished musical treats.

This year’s blessed presentation will feature several soloists including soprano Amy Little, basses James Franch and Stephen McClusky, bass/arranger Andy Bayles and pianist/orchestrator Daniel Solberg. In addition, Georgia State’s University Singers (Deanna Joseph – Director) will contribute their superb musical gifts as part of this celebration.

There will be many opportunities for the audience to become part of the concert by joining in the singing of numerous seasonal hymns. As in past years, the concert will conclude with an invitation for audience members to join the performers on stage to sing the finale’, G.F. Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus from The Messiah.
