Tameka Raymond Honors Son with 5K Run/Walk at Chastain Park

The Kile's World Foundation inaugural Give Thanks 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday, Nov. 30.

Chastain Park will be the site for the Kile's World Foundation inaugural Give Thanks 5K Run/Walk, with veteran fitness guru Donna Richardson Joyner and R&B singer Syleena Johnson participating.

Tameka Raymond is honoring her son with this event. She encourages the community, particularly young people, to get active and give thanks with Kile’s World’s Give Thanks 5K Run/Walk, according to a news release from Kile's World Foundation..

“It’s been proven that physical activity is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your health,” said Tameka Raymond, founder and chairman of Kile’s World Foundation. “So we are excited about families joining us as we get active and stay healthy.”

The event comes just two days after Thanksgiving, making it an ideal time to get started on working off that big turkey dinner.

R&B artist Syleena Johnson and fitness expert Donna Richardson Joyner will be joining Kile’s World for this initiative.

“It’s really great that even in Kile’s death, lives will be saved,” said Richardson Joyner.

Proceeds from the Give Thanks 5K Run/Walk will go to support Kile’s World’s art programs and its upcoming camps.

“The arts were extremely important to my son, Kile, so as we kickoff the holiday season, I’m inviting everyone to give back while burning off those extra Thanksgiving calories,” said Raymond. “In the process, you will be making a camper’s dream come true.”

The 5K Run/Walk is an opportunity for families, veteran and novice runners and walkers to get active and give back.
