13 Weeks to Peachtree Day 7 - Taking Part

Molly finds out about the Peachtree Road Race charities, enters a contest to win free training from the Atlanta Track Club, and ponders the positives of getting with a good program.

On Day 7 of 13 Weeks to Peachtree, Molly learns about the Peachtree Road Race charities and a chance to win free training for the race - by making a donation through the Peachtree's on-line fundraising site, Crowdrise.com. She picks a program called "Back on our Feet," a running group that helps people dealing with homelessness regain control of their lives through their participation with a healthy running group. Today's training tip - Take part in a good program.

This is the seventh post in a series, chronicling the daily adventures of  Molly Read Woo - a not too fit Mom in her fifties who lucked up in the lottery for a spot in the famous Peachtree Road Race, and went off on a 13-week-long high-intensity self-improvement jag to get ready for it. Jog along with us as she throws herself into a training program that's as unrelentingly fierce as it is unpredictable....

Okay ... for those of you who have just joined us - you don't really have to jog. You can just walk along for starters.... We got 13 weeks to get there ... see 13weekstoPeachtree@blogspot.com for more ...
