Barabara McConnell, 81: Fledgling Foundation, Buckhead Ministries Supporter
The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wieuca Road Baptist Church, with her funeral following at noon.
Barbara McConnell, 81, died Monday, Nov. 4 , 2013.
Barbara had a passion for serving others through volunteer work and was a faithful worker and supporter of the Fledgling Foundation and Buckhead Ministries for many years. Barbara was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and her family, and worked tirelessly to make sure every guest in her home felt like family.
Born in Whites Creek, TN, Barbara is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob McConnell. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Johnson of South Carolina; three children: Patti M. Rickman (Tim) of High Point, NC; Rob McConnell (Maria ) of Atlanta, GA; Jane M. Boyd (Gary) of Ashville, AL, and 16 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Wieuca Road Baptist Church, 3626 Peachtree Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30326. Her funeral will be held at noon in the sanctuary of the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wieuca Road Baptist Church.
