Robert J. Wright, 76: One of the Original 'Buckhead Boys'

Visitation will be today from 5-7 p.m. at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, with a funeral service on Tuesday.

Robert Joseph Wright, “Bob”, 76, a devoted family man, died Friday January 24, 2014 at Emory Midtown Hospital from sepsis.

Bob is survived by wife Yvonne, daughter and son-in-law Chaly Jo and Chris Moyen of Atlanta; grandchildren Chaibella, Keene, and Quinlan Moyen; brothers Wayne Wright of Waco, Georgia  and Mickey Wright of Hoschton, Georgia, and their families; and his beloved dogs, Napoleon, Annette, and granddog Piglet.

Born May 5, 1937, the eldest son of Robert and Josephine, Bob was one of the original “Buckhead Boys,” having attended North Fulton High School.  Bob worked his way through college (Georgia State University) and law school and spent his working life in business management.

Bob married the beautiful Yvonne Febres-Cordero, and the two were blessed with a contented partnership and one daughter.  In the last couple of years, Bob was delighted to welcome and play with his three young grandchildren, who loved to crawl up into his lap and “talk” to him on the phone before they were old enough to form sentences.

Relatives and friends are welcome to the visitation on Monday, Jan. 27 from 5-7 p.m., and the funeral service on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m.  Both will be held at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30319.
