War on Christmas, War on Women, but What About the War on Men?

The success of the 2012 Obama campaign was attributed by some, in part, to a perceived war on women by Republicans. But there are those who believe it is men who are really the victims now.

Author Suzanne Venker created a controversy recently when she wrote an article previewing her latest book, “How to Choose a Husband (And Make Peace with Marriage)." In the article, Venker alludes to the fact that there is indeed a battle of the sexes, but it is men who are on the losing end.

In an interview on Fox News, Venker reports that now that for the first time in history, women have become the majority of the U.S. workforce. In addition, women are getting most of the degrees. The outcome is a change in the relationship between men and women. And the result – men are no longer so keen to get married. The reason, Venker said, is that men claim women aren’t women anymore.

Venker went on to question whether maybe some of the problems of today are not necessarily the fault of men. For decades, men have taken the blame. But now they are tired of being told everything that is wrong is their fault.

Is it time women stood up and took responsibility for some of the wrongs in the relationship between the sexes? Is it possible that the war is no longer against women – that it is men who are now in the crosshairs? What do you think?

Yet it would be easier to convert Hitler to Judaism then to get a woman to pay for a date or anything for that matter in this country.

When I make as much money as a man for doing the same job, then I'd be happy to pay for that date. When a man can bear offspring and actually have the same responsibilities for raising that child, I'll pay for the second one.
