Jim Carrey to Sign His Children's Book Saturday in Buckhead

The actor-author is scheduled to be at the Buckhead Barnes & Noble on Saturday afternoon to meet fans and sign copies of his new children's book.

Staff Report

A winner of two Golden Globe awards -- Best Actor for “Man on the Moon” and “The Truman Show” -- Jim Carrey will greet fans and sign copies of his new children's book, "How Roland Rolls," on Saturday in Buckhead.

The 2 p.m. event will take place at the Barnes & Noble, located at 2900 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 310. To attend the book signing, customers will be given a wristband at the store with the purchase of “How Roland Rolls.”

According to Carrey, the 64-page book is “a story about a wave named Roland who’s afraid that, one day, when he hits the beach, his life will be over. But when he gets deep, he’s struck by the notion that he’s not just a wave — he’s the whole big, wide ocean! It shows humanity’s interconnectedness through the metaphor of a wave in the ocean.”

The book, which was released on September 24, 2013, received a Gelett Burgess Award which honors outstanding children’s books. In addition to the book, a 4-song EP with songs written and performed by Carrey and his daughter Jane was released on iTunes. An enhanced e-book will be released in November.

Carrey and Jeff Daniels are currently filming the comedy "Dumb and Dumber To" in and around the metro Atlanta area.
