11Alive Traffic Reporter Arrested for DUI in Buckhead

No one was injured in the incident.

Just a couple nights after Fox 5's anchor of 26 years, Amanda Davis, announced her retirement following her Nov. 11 DUI charge and arrest, an 11 Alive traffic reporter was arrested on a DUI charge.

Elle Duncan, a traffic reporter for 11 Alive, was arrested Sunday morning on a DUI charge, according to 11 Alive.

No one was injured in the incident.

According to the incident report obtained by Access Atlanta, the arresting officer pulled Duncan over when he observed her silver Mercedes headed south on Piedmont Road at a high rate of speed, narrowly missing striking another vehicle.

According to the report, the arresting officer could smell alcohol on her breath and her eyes appeared "watery" and "bloodshot," while her behavior was "polite" and "talkative."

Duncan was charged with DUI and reckless driving and did not appear on Monday morning's newscast.

Duncan released the following statement:

"I am greatly embarrassed for my actions early Sunday morning. I have been reminded -- in a very difficult way - that any amount of alcohol can impair us. I take full responsibility for my actions. I apologize to my fans, our community, and my 11Alive family."
