$300K of Wire Stolen from 'Anchorman 2' Set

The burglary is one of several that have occurred in the Defoors Ferry Road area in recent weeks.

Thieves stole about $300,000 in wire from the set of the sequel of the now-classic Anchorman comedy, starring Will Ferrell, in December.

They broke into a warehouse on Defoors Hills Road being rented to Paramount Worldwide Productions, according to a report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The incident, which occurred on Dec. 27, is one of several break-ins that have occurred in recent weeks in the Defoors Ferry Road area.

That same week, an apartment on the 2700 block of Defoors Ferry Road was broken into and a laptop was stolen. On Monday, a toolbox and power saw were discovered missing from another nearby warehouse, the AJC reports.

Along with wires, the burglars stole four computers after using a rear garage door to break into the warehouse being used for "Anchorman: The Legend Continues," which is scheduled to be released in December.
