The Atlanta Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man they believe has ties with the “Pillowcase Bandits.”
The video attached with this article depicts a male breaking into a home on Spad Avenue near Whittier Mills Park on Oct. 11, 2013.
In August, police made an arrest connected to a series of burglaries where thieves used pillowcases to steal silverware and other valuables from Buckhead homes.
Police arrested Farhana Sultan, following a tip from an outside jurisdiction, which led them to an apartment in downtown Atlanta. Lt. Rodney Woody said officers found about $100,000 worth of silverware and other items in the apartment.
Any information on the Spad Ave. case can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online www.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
