Arrest Made in E. Rivers PTA Case

Police say $57,000 was taken from the school's PTA funds.

Maryam Arjomand, 48, turned herself in Monday in connection to charges that funds were stolen from the fund, according to The Atlanta Police Department.

Arjomand turned herself in to the department's Major Fraud Unit, and she has been charged with felony theft by taking.

The police department said the charges stem from the "unlawful appropriation of $57,000.00 in checks from donors which were then deposited into the accused’s personal account."

Police report that Arjomand was transported to the Fulton County Jail without incident.

WSBTV.COM reports that the suspect is a parent who worked at a bank in Sandy Springs.

If she'll steal from the PTA, no telling what else she's done. Time for a bank audit.

I however feel bad for the daughter, on the other hand the greedy selfish mom should not have done that. I know I would not.
