Atlanta Police, DEA Seize $1.5 Million of Heroin, Meth

Police say they discovered over 15 pounds of drugs located in a truck outside an Atlanta residence, and found more drugs inside.

The Atlanta Police Department and the DEA's Atlanta High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force have taken over $1 million dollars of drugs off the streets in one fell swoop.

According to WSB-TV, authorities discovered 15 pounds of heroin inside the oil pan of a Jeep Cherokee parked outside a residence in the 2500 block of Oldknow Road. An additional 1.5 kilos of methamphetamine was discovered inside the truck.

Inside the residence, authorities discovered even more drugs; 17 grams of heroin and an unreported amount of meth.

Four suspects were arrested in the drug bust, and will remain incarcerated until a court hearing later this month.
