Buckhead Bank Robbery Suspect May Have Held Hand Grenade in Norcross Bank Robbery

The Norcross bank robbery makes the third robbery that police and FBI believe this suspect has committed in one week.

A man suspected of robbing Wells Fargo banks in Buckhead and in Doraville last week is thought to have been holding a hand grenade during a bank robbery Tuesday in Norcross.

FBI released surveillance photos of the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call 911.

The suspect robbed Wells Fargo banks in Buckhead on Aug. 29 and in Doraville on Aug. 27 before robbing  the bank at 6155 Jimmy Carter Boulevard around 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday

The suspect is described by police as a “black male, dark-skinned, very tall [about 6-5] with a thin build,” according to an email from Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith.

Described as well-dressed, the man handed a note to the teller demanding money. “He then produced an object that appeared to be a hand grenade,” Smith said in the email. The suspect fled on foot.
