Buckhead Crime Blotter: Attempted Armed Robbery at Panera Thwarted; Check from Mom Stolen from Mail

Also the Chick-Fil-A on Piedmont Road was robbed.

4/21/13 at 8:45 p.m.

Three suspects attempted to rob the restaurant with one firearm and a fake firearm. All three were arrested.

Other Larceny at YMCA, 1160 Moores Mill Road

4/26/13 at 1:30 p.m.

An unknown suspect stole the victim's credit cards from his secured locker at the gym.

 

Larceny from Auto, 2761 Ridgewood Road NW

4/27/13 at 1:30 p.m.

A black Chevrolet sedan slowly passed the victim's truck. The sedan disappeared for a few minutes and then circled back by his truck. A young man jumped out of the vehicle, grabbed a Stihl blower estimated at $500, from the bed and then got back into his car.

 

Other Larceny, 3872 Roswell Road

4/23/13 at 2:50 p.m.

A man and woman entered the store, and the woman reached over the counter and grabbed an iPhone from the table.

 

Larceny from Auto, 3405 Lenox Road

4/23/13 at 2:30 p.m.

The victim said his vehicle's lock was damaged and his Taurus Pt10 pistol was missing.

 

Check from Mother-in-Law Stolen from Mail

Other Larceny, 960 Paces Ferry Road NE

4/22/13 at 10:30 p.m.

Victim stated that he checked his mailbox and found an opened letter from his mother-in-law. He was expecting the letter, which includes a check to cover the monthly insurance for his vehicle. There was no damage done to the mailbox. The check was for $222 and made out to either him or his wife.

 

Robbery-Pedestrian, 3393 Peachtree Road NE

4/26/13 at 7:19 p.m.

A suspect pushed a man to the ground and took his wallet with credit card inside. The suspect then got into a white Pontiac Grand Prix with a tag number HUU1866. The vehicle was last seen headed towards Lenox Road.

 

Chick-fil-A Robbed

Commercial Burglary, Chick-fil-A at 2580 Piedmont Road

4/22/13 at 12:35 a.m.

An unknown suspect busted the front door with a rock, then went to the office and busted down the door with a rock, taking $2,500 in cash. The scene was processed for prints.
