Buckhead Crime Blotter: Police Charge Stun Gun Attackers

Additionally, a theft of six pieces of silver valued at nearly $80,000 was reported.

The following police reports were filed June 2-8 by Zone 2 of the Atlanta Police Department and submitted to Buckhead Patch. During this period, the zone filed 116 police reports. All information is presumed to be accurate. Buckhead Patch is providing some of the reports filed in this blotter.

Residential Burglary at 2100 block of Garreaux Road NW

Some time during the period of 6/2-5/13

An unknown suspect entered the victim's home and stole six pieces of silver valued at $77,200.

Other Larceny at YMCA, 1160 Moores Mill Road NW

6/6/13 at 5:30-6 p.m.

An unknown suspect used the key to the victim's locker to enter the locker and take the victim's watch, wallet, car keys and debit card.

 

Auto Theft, Poriaz Pizza at 3521 Northside Parkway NE

6/5/13 at 10 a.m.

A woman left the keys in her Budget rental truck (a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado) and when she returned back to the parking lot, she found the vehicle missing. The car's tag was PRM-1332.

 

Other Larceny, 70 West Paces Ferry Road NW

6/2/13 at 12 p.m.

Victim said he was in front of the location when two men snatched a bag containing his ID and social security card off his shoulder and took off running. No arrests have been made at this time.

 

Other Larceny, 1943 Peachtree Road NW

6/3/13 at 3:25 p.m.

Victim parked a 2012 Nissan Rogue in the rear parking lot of the location and returned to find a purse stolen from the front passenger floorboard. The victim left the car doors unlocked. The items were later retrieved. There are known suspects, but no arrests at this time.

 

Aggravated Assault, 2500 block of Lenox Road NE

6/3/13 at 3:40 p.m.

Suspect kicked in the victim's back door, entered the apartment with a handgun, but did not take any items. There were no injuries reported, and no arrests have been made.


Aggravated Assault, 635 Lindbergh Drive NE

6/3/13 at 1:45 p.m.

Two men assaulted a victim with a stun gun. Two witnesses confirmed that both men attacked the victim. A stun gun was recovered that matched the stun gun box found in the suspects' backpacks. Both suspects were charged with aggravated assault.
