Buckhead Crime Blotter: Aug. 5 - 11

Victim stabbed in back with knife during argument; several armed robberies reported; man punched in face while working out.

The following police reports were filed Aug. 5 - 11 by Zone 2 of the Atlanta Police Department and submitted to Buckhead Patch. All information is presumed to be accurate.

Aggravated assault/ Stabbing 08/10/12

A suspect was arrested for aggravated assault after reportedly stabbing a victim in the back with a knife during an argument at 2870 Pharr Ct. NW.

Robbery 08/05/12

A victim told police he was walking home around 3 a.m. on Roswell Road NE when a white Pontiac G-6 containing a male driver and female passenger pulled up. The female then asked the victim if he needed a ride. When the victim said "no," the driver reportedly pulled out a gun and told him to get in the car. Upon getting inside, the suspects took his wallet, driver's license and debit card. The suspects then threw the victim out of the vehicle at a gas station and drove away. The next morning, the victim noticed $3,500 worth of fraudulent charges on his debit card.

Robbery 08/08/12

A victim went to a local hotel at around 10 p.m. to purchase a laptop from a male suspect. The victim then followed the suspect to a U-haul truck at 1695 Northside Dr. NW to make the transaction. The victim said she changed her mind about the purchase, at which point the suspect pointed a gun at her and stole $160 in cash from her.

Robbery 08/05/12

While walking on Lindbergh Drive around 2 a.m., a victim was robbed of her purse by a male suspect. Police responded to the call and found a suspect under a nearby bridge matching the description given by the victim. The suspect was then arrested.

Robbery 08/07/12

Two victims were robbed at gunpoint at around 11:48 p.m. at 235 Triumph Dr. NW by three suspects driving a green SUV.

Residential burglary 08/10/12

A victim told police that upon arriving home early afternoon at 509 Collier Road, she noticed a white Dodge Charger sitting in her driveway. A male standing next to the vehicle reached inside the car a started blowing the horn and yelling. Several other males then came running from the neighbor's yard. The victim discovered that her back door had been kicked in and an iPod, iPhone and three laptops had been taken.

Aggravated assault 08/11/12

A suspect reportedly punched a victim in the face while he was working out in the evening at Retro Fitness, 3050 Peachtree Road NW.

Larceny from auto 08/04/12

An unknown suspect reportedly entered a victims vehicle, parked at 505 Pharr Road NE between 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., and stole a stainless steel Smith and Wesson Revolver with ammunition, as well as a red suitcase containing $3,000 work of clothing.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car burglarized 08/09/12

The manager Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 3088 Piedmont Road NE, told police that eight tires and rims were stolen off of three different rental vehicles at the business. At around 2:20 a.m., surveillance cameras picked up a vehicle pulling behind the lot and a dark figure walking back and forth. The suspect apparently cut a hole in the back fence to gain entry.

Larceny from business 08/06/12

A male suspect walked into Macy's at Lenox Square around 12 p.m. and asked to try on a $1,500 ring. Upon placing the ring on his finger, the suspect fled from the location.
