Buckhead Crime Blotter: Man Robbed, Forced into Own Trunk

Two men steal woman's wallet from her purse in church; Suspect steals five cases of Coke and then threatens to kill everyone; People pump 400 gallons of free gas at Shell station.

The following police reports were filed March 24-30 (one from March 13) by Zone 2 of the Atlanta Police Department and submitted to Buckhead Patch. During this period, the zone filed 94 police reports. All information is presumed to be accurate. Buckhead Patch is providing some of the reports filed in this blotter.

3/13/13 at 7 p.m. 

Woman was attending church when two men walked in and took her wallet out of her purse. The incident was captured on video.

People Pump 400 Gallons of Free Gas

Other Larceny, Shell gas station at 2018 Bolton Road NW

3/26/13 at 7:09 p.m.

A man driving an SUV opened the panel on pump 7 and bypassed the pumps to allow the gas to flow without paying. Numerous cars used the car for nearly an hour before the station clerk realized what happened. Approximately 400 gallons of gas were pumped without it being paid for.

 

Man Robbed, Forced into Own Trunk

Robbery-Pedestrian at 600 Garson Drive NE

3/29/13 at 10:30 p.m.

While at his place of residence, a man was approached by two men who demanded $800. The victim was then forced into the trunk of his own car and then taken to a bank where he was forced to withdraw $2,800. (Buckhead Patch will have more details about this crime in a later article.)


Suspect Steals Cokes, Threatens to Kill Everybody

3/27/13 at 12:01 a.m.

A suspect took five cases of Coke from the business without paying. The suspect threatened to kill everyone he could.

 

Stolen Car Found Abandoned

Larceny from Auto, 1250 West Paces Ferry Road NE

3/30/13 at 10:50 a.m.

While parked at the location, a suspect entered and left with the vehicle, which had a laptop and backpack with books inside. The items were stolen and the vehicle was later found abandoned on Northside Drive. It was towed to the precinct and returned to the owner.

 

Robbery-Pedestrian, 629 Green St. NW

3/30/13 at 12:51 a.m.

Four men robbed a group of two men and two women at gunpoint outside the location. No cameras at the location. A phone, wallet and purse were stolen.

 

Larceny from Auto, Chastain Park at 135 West Wieuca Road NW

3/27/13 at 7:20 p.m.

The window of vehicle at Chastain Park was broken and a purse was taken.
