Buckhead Crime Blotter: Men Point Gun at Mother and Kids in Their Driveway

The following police reports were filed July 28- Aug. 3 by Zone 2 of the Atlanta Police Department and submitted to Buckhead Patch. During this period, the zone filed 112 police reports. All information is presumed to be accurate. Buckhead Patch is providing some of the reports filed in this blotter.

Aggravated Assault, 3000 block of Nancy Creek Road NW
7/31/13 at 10 p.m.
A woman had just returned home with her three children to see a gold, newer model Jeep Grand Cherokee, with a Georgia tag with first letters PN, parked in her driveway. When the victim pulled up, four African-American males who appeared to be ages 18 to 20 (no other description provided) ran from the back of the left side of her house and got into the vehicle. The vehicle backed up swiftly into the grass and tried to turn around, but the victim's vehicle was blocking it. The driver exited the vehicle and pointed a black/grey gun at the victim and motioned for her to back up. The victim backed out of her driveway and the Jeep sideswiped their vehicle and fled south on Nancy Creek Road. Footprints were found on the wet grass and the patio area.

Larceny from Auto, 1424 West Paces Ferry Road
7/30/13 at 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Victim left her purse in an unlocked car with $1,500 in cash and a ring valued at $50,000 was taken. There were cameras but nothing on them showing a suspect.

Robbery-Pedestrian, 1300 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd. NW
7/31/13 at 2:15 p.m.
Victim reported he was struck with an object and his credit cards taken. No surveillance taken.

Larceny from Auto, 3500 Peachtree Road NW
8/1/2013 at 4:46 p.m.
No signs of forced entry. An iPad, a bank balance book, perfume lotion and a plug-in fragrance were taken.

Aggravated Assault, Fogo de Chao at 3101 Piedmont Road NE
8/2-3/13 at 11:39 a.m.
Two male employees were in a physical confrontation inside the restaurant after employee A dropped a skewer of meat in front of employee B. Employee B  punched A in the back and in the face. Both men fought and the manager ordered them to go home. In the parking lot, A and B fought and then B pulled out a knife from his pocket and stabbed the other employee, causing a one-and-a-half-inch wound. The stabbed victim ran and the suspect chased him, but tripped and fell to the ground. The manager separated the two employees. The suspect left in his vehicle, and the manager dressed the victim's wounds and followed him to St. Joseph's Medical Center.
