Buckhead Crime Blotter: Police Arrest Man Who Stabs Coworker

The following police reports were filed April 28- May 4 by Zone 2 of the Atlanta Police Department and submitted to Buckhead Patch. During this period, the zone filed 100 police reports. All information is presumed to be accurate. Buckhead Patch is providing some of the reports filed in this blotter.

Aggravated Assault, 4111 Northside Parkway NE

5/3/13 at 10 a.m.

A disagreement about flooring became physical when a man stabbed his coworker in the stomach. The two men were pulled apart by several coworkers. The suspect initially fled the scene, but was contacted and agreed to come to the police precinct. The suspect said the victim confronted him and became aggressive by chest-bumping and pushing him with his hands. The suspect said the victim grabbed him and held him against the wall with his hands over his head. The suspect said he was afraid of the victim because of his size. The suspect admitted to cutting the victim with a knife in his side. Police arrested Curtiss Walker.

Larceny from Auto, Chastain Park at 135 West Wieuca Road NW

4/29/13 at 5:05 p.m.

A man was seen breaking into a woman's vehicle and taking her purse. The suspect later attempted to use her credit card at Bloomingdale's at Lenox Square. 

 

Other Larceny, Kroger at 1715 Howell Mill Road NW

4/30/13 at 8:10 p.m.

Suspect selected two frozen pizzas and concealed them in her purse. The suspect then passed all points of sale. 

 

Robbery-Pedestrian at 804 Noble Creek Drive NW

4/28/13 at 10:20 p.m.

Two victims were walking to an apartment when a four-door silver Acura drove up to them and three men armed with a silver handgun demanded the victim hand over her purse, iPhone, iPad and $60. The suspects demanded the second victim's car keys and $30.

 

Robbery-Pedestrian at 3501 Noble Creek Drive NW

5/4/13 at 12:35 a.m.

Two men robbed a victim at gunpoint, taking the victim's 9mm pistol, $80 cash and a cell phone. No cameras were at the location. The suspects' vehicle was possibly a black Ford Mustang.

 

Robbery-Pedestrian at 870 West Wesley Road NE

5/1/13 at 10:30 p.m.

While victims were driving, a small SUV hit their vehicle. When a victim got out of his car to look at the damage, he was robbed at gunpoint by three men. The suspects took a wallet and purse and drove off in the victim's vehicle.

 

Other Larceny, Residence Inn at 2960 Piedmont Road NW

5/2/13 at 3:20 p.m.

Victim left her hotel room and when she returned, her dog (a black and cream rottweiler and husky mix, approximately 60 pounds) was gone. There is no tracking on the dog and her room was secured when she left.

 

Robbery-Commercial, Subway at 1927 Peachtree Road

5/2/13 at 7:24 p.m.

A Subway employee was in the back of the restaurant training a new employee when he heard the front door chime. The second Subway employee greeted two men who walked through the door and ordered a Philly sandwich and a Coke. When the employee went to the register, one of the suspects produced a gun and ordered the employee to open the register. The suspect grabbed cash from the register and then both men fled on foot and walked south on Peachtree Road. The estimated loss was $250.

 

Robbery-Commercial, Icebox Jewelry at 3255 Peachtree Road

5/2/13 at 12:00 p.m.

A woman was buzzed inside the business by the victims. The woman appeared nervous and confused and constantly looked over her shoulders. As she turned to leave the building, two or three men rushed into the business with handguns drawn. One suspect pointed a black and silver handgun in a man's face and robbed him of his belongings. The second suspect began demanding that the showcases be opened and money from the register. He took $2,500 from the register and $300 from a separate bag. The suspect then picked a witness and demanded he take him to the safe. The suspect was given jewelry from the safe. The suspects spoke to each other in Spanish while robbing the business.

After being robbed, a victim ran out through a side exit door of the business. He said he saw the robber exit the same side door pointing a gun in his direction. The suspects were seen jumping over a fence in the rear parking lot of the plaza. Two large mesh bags filled with jewelry were discovered in the rear of 562 Martina Drive.

The homeowner said she was watering her plants when she noticed a woman walking in her backyard towards her home. She asked the woman what she was doing, but she would not respond. The woman discarded two blue latex gloves as she exite the backyard. The suspects' vehicle and handgun were recovered at 3315 Peachtree Road. A sweartshirt and mesh bag of jewelry was recovered on Highland Drive.
