Crime Blotter: Man Beaten with Bats for $20; Another Reported Pillowcase Burglary

Another man was threatened with a knife at a Buckhead gas station.

The following police reports were filed Aug. 25-31 by Zone 2 of the Atlanta Police Department and submitted to Buckhead Patch. During this period, the zone filed 125 police reports. All information is presumed to be accurate. Buckhead Patch is providing some of the reports filed in this blotter.

Residential Burglary, 700 Andover Drive NW
8/30/13 at 7:36 p.m.
A window was found open and the window screen was thrown in the bushes. A pillowcase was taken from the master bedroom, and the drawers where the jewelry was kept were ransacked. Miscellaneous jewelry was taken from the home.


Robbery-Pedestrian, 1935 Peachtree Road NE
8/27/13 at 1:30 a.m.
The victim reported he was attacked by two undescribed African-American men and struck in the head with baseball bats before stealing $20. The victim had visible injuries to his nose and forehead.

Other Larceny, 1820 Peachtree Road NW
8/28/13 at 7 p.m.
Victim left her bag in the mail room, which contained her laptop and $10,000 cash. When she returned it was gone, but had been turned into the front desk without the laptop and cash. There is video of the lobby area, and the laptop has LoJac software.

Larceny from Auto, 3340 Peachtree Road NW
8/30/13 at 8:30 p.m. to 8/31/13 at 8 a.m.
Victim's vehicle was parked overnight on Aug. 30. When he returned to his vehicle the next day at 8 a.m., he noticed that all four of his tires and rims were missing. The incident was captured on the surveillance system.

Aggravated Assault, 3500 Peachtree Road NE
8/26/13 at 5:45 p.m.
The victim stated that the suspect place a knife in his face and threatened him if he didn't give him money for gas while they were at the gas station.
