Crime Blotter: Man Pretends to be Fire Inspector, Demands $300 'Fee'

Other Larceny 1/3/13 4-5:40 p.m.

A man presented himself as an inspector with the Atlanta Fire Department and demanded $300 each from Subway, Great Wraps and Which 'Wich in the Lenox Square food court after conducting an "inspection" of the restaurants' interiors.

Robbery-Pedestrian 1/2/13 7:05 p.m.

A heavy set white male suspect in a grey Jeep Cherokee approached the victim on the street, pointed a handgun at him and told the victim to give him his cell phone.

Larceny from Auto 12/29-30/12 10 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

An unknown suspect smashed the window of the victim's vehicle and stole her bridesmaid's dress and $200 in a parking lot/garage at 1400 Northside Drive NW.

Larceny from Auto 12/30-31/12 11:30 p.m. to 8 a.m.

An unknown suspect stole the victim's 357 magnum handgun and laptop from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the parking lot/garage at 800 block of Brookhaven Springs Court.

Robbery-Commercial 12/30/12 9:50-10 p.m.

An unidentified black male, who weighed about 250 pounds and was about 6 feet to 6-foot 2-inches tall, entered the BP gas station at 3639 Peachtree Road NE with a 9mm handgun. He demanded money from the register and then left on foot, headed towards Roxboro Road.
